Book of the Month

Book of the Month: February

Hello booklovers.

Welcome to the month of February. Wasn't it just yesterday, when we were calling out cheerfully,"Happy New Year" to loved ones and friends? Wow! Time keeps sneaking up on us.

The book of the month for February is Me before You (Jojo Moyes).  Me before you is the story of William Traynor, who got involved in an accident  which left him confined to a wheelchair. He lived life on the fast lane and had everything going for him until the accident ruined his life.

Lou Clark is the girl with no ambitions in life who is employed by the Traynors to take care of their son, Will. But even the chatty Lou could only do so much tor him. She would later learn that he had once attempted taking his own life and her real purpose of supposedly taking care of him was to ensure that he never attempts it again.....

Well, I don't think there'll be any dry eyes in the house by the time we are done and dusted with, Me before You.

So grab your coffee (or what ever you like to have you have with your book) and find that comfy position for reading and enoy.

BOOK OF THE MONTH : MARCH, 2021

Dear FictionAddicts, 2021 is already 2 months and 10 days old. I’m not going to give a new year speech, the year is already old and 2020 was a …..well, it was a vibe, mood, cruise, a corona virus year and a forced vacation all wrapped up in one. It’s March and the weather is not friendly at all with the sun scorching everything in its path . Please drink lots of water, stay hydrated, wear a mask and stay safe. This March we will read The Turn of the Key by Ruth Ware and The Other Woman by Sandie Jones   The Turn of the Key by Ruth Ware When Rowan Caine stumbles upon the ad, she was looking for something else completely. But it seemed too good an opportunity to pass on. It was a live-in nanny post, with a very generous salary. When she arrives at Heatherbrae House, Rowan is smitten by the luxurious “smart” home fitted with every modern convenience imaginable, by the beautiful Scottish Highlands and by this picture-perfect family. Her employer Sandra Elincour...

Welcome to the world of a fiction addict!

Hi there lovelies! Welcome to FictionAddictbooks.blogspot.com. I’m so glad to be writing this blog and did I mention this is my first blog.  I had taken a long hiatus from reading for pleasure (a hiatus that's unforgivably long) and only recently returned from the said hiatus. So I kind of have a busy life and all but I decided it was time to go back to my earliest hobby (if reading fiction qualifies as a hobby).  The purpose of FictionAddictbooks blog is to share my journey through the pages of books that I read. I want to share the lows and highs, the suspense, the humor,, the thrills  and all that is in each book that I read with YOU. I hope to do this without boring you. . So come on along with me as we journey into the magical world of  fiction books.

BOOK OF THE MONTH: JULY

Dear Fiction Addicts, Welcome to July! The first half of the year is gone and if we haven’t hit our targets yet, we still have time to put in effort and set the ball in motion. Take that first step and keep moving. Remember to work smart and not hard. June had its share of woes and sadness. The killings in Jos, Plateau State and the petrol tanker explosion on Micheal Otedola Bridge, along Lagos Ibadan Expressway, Lagos that claimed the lives of so many Nigerians in the last month is just very sad. Our prayers are with those who lost loved ones in these ugly incidents. This month we will read An American Marriage by Tayari Jones and The Girl On The Train by Paula Hawkins. The Girl On the Train was a special request by one of our readers -@a_jokeade. An American Marriage by Tayari Jones Newlyweds Celestial and Roy are the embodiment of both the American Dream and the New South. He is a young executive, and she is an artist on the brink of an exciting caree...
